Dr. Georgette Goorchenko
Dr. Georgette Goorchenko (formerly Shields) is a San Diego native who started Great & Small Veterinary Imaging in 2019. After completing an equine internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital, she briefly practiced equine medicine in San Diego before returning to UC Davis to complete a two year Large Animal Ultrasound fellowship.

She completed her radiology residency at Colorado State University and became a boarded diplomate in 2017. During this time, she completed research projects for ultrasound and MRI of the canine shoulder and equine foot.

She specializes in musculoskeletal ultrasound for horses and dogs, as well as abdominal ultrasound for all species.

Appointments are made directly between Dr. Goorchenko and the referring veterinarian/clinic.
